Using Blog in Teaching Learning Process as a Media
Media is teaching aids. It means that media can be used to help teacher in teaching learning process. There are so many media that can teachers used to teach the students. We can use traditional one or sophisticated media. In teaching learning process we also can use multimedia. One of them is blog.
In this era, there are so many teachers who use blog in teaching class. In Indonesia, Blog is seldom used by the teachers because maybe they think that make a blog is too complicated and can make teaching learning process go slowly. Actually, it is very simple to make a blog. Firstly, we have to connecting the internet and find out the blog then follow steps by steps in making a blog. There are has been given the steps how to make a blog, we just to continue that step with fill the online form. Then we just click “Next” to continue the steps. Also, there are so many benefit that can we get in using blog. In can make easier for the teacher to send some assignment and for the students, they can published their own experience, poetry, storied. And everybody who has blog can read their blog.
Let’s we see how some teacher in foreign country use a blog as a teaching aids in teaching learning process. In Brazil, Carla uses blog in her class as a method. That method is called “Mystery Guess”. In that method, Carla is asked her students to guess another student in her class through blog in order to make a closer relationship between teachers and also students. Carla also asked her students to express their own experience with students in another country in order to learning each other about their lives and their opinion. In using blog they also can share their own experience and to keep the interaction highly.
In Argentina, blog is used in teaching and learning process. According to one of teachers who use blog in class, Rita, blog is one of tool of communication to human being. In making blog, it uses our mind creativity. In using blog, every body can send some messages, give the comment, and they also can contact another student in foreign country.
Let’s go to Tiwan. In this country, blog is used for students’ performance such as presentation. Blog is also used for giving feed back to the students. It also can make the teacher easier to measure that how good and how well the students performance. The students also can hear voice recording each other and write a report from the presentation that has been done.
